Who are we?
The foundation of our organization begins with the Lord. We are a faith-based, non-profit organization based in Columbia, South Carolina. Born from a combination of bright visions, thoughtful prayers and a confirmed assignment from the Lord, our CEO and Founder, Rev. Dee Dee Samuel, responded to the call to create a ministry to feed and inspire the homeless.
After a phone call on a brisk evening in September of 2020 with Rochell Swinton, now COO of Move by F.A.I.T.H., and Dr. Latanya Wright, Rev. Dee Dee Samuel announced what had been placed in her heart, and they gladly accepted the call to co-labor in a harvest to share His love with His sheep.
Mission
Based in South Carolina, we would love to have the support and partnership of local businesses, organizations, and other non-profits to collectively serve more meals and essential resources the homeless need. This includes hygiene products, cold weather apparel/shoes and of course, volunteers!
Although currently small in staff, our organization makes a large, dedicated impact in our community, feeding over 100+ homeless people in Downtown Columbia every month.
Vision
At Move by F.A.I.T.H., our vision is to create a ministry truly in motion, reaching across Downtown Columbia to serve those who need it most. We believe that a meal is only as good as its accessibility, which is why we are dedicated to going directly to our neighbors who currently lack the means to travel to traditional soup kitchens.
By meeting the unhoused community right where they are, we aim to bridge the gap between hunger and hope, with the ultimate goal of launching a mobile food truck ministry that brings nourishment, dignity, and care to every corner of our city.

With this initiative, our goal is to provide quality nutritional opportunities, inspiring words, and community resource materials for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential.
